My Story
Over 10 years ago, as a much younger HR Practitioner, the concluding part of my appraisal form always ended with my aspiration to be a Life coach. Interestingly, I wasn’t sure of what is expected of a life coach, but one thing is clear, I want to guide people to get the best out of life.
Fast track to a few months before my 40th birthday, I felt this heavy burden and desire to do more. Impacting people positively in life has always been a major desire and my watchword in life, however, it became more evident that I had to carve my niche.
My journey as a Life and Executive leadership coach started with a mind-transforming experience with my coaching mentor, Dr Lanre Olusola (The Catalyst) through the Life Coaching training session. With a baptism of fire, there was no going back. On my journey, I realized key pain areas/voids that need to be filled.
- Individuals fear uniquely standing out in their various fields.
- The feeling of inadequacy, and lack of the right collaboration/ support system to aid successes and achievements.
- Individuals not knowing the right way to show up, particularly at the leadership level. Speaking to personal brands. Being deliberate about how you want to be perceived.
The pain points above birthed Bc-D impacts coaching academy, and the passion to help solve the people problems above is a driving force. In carving a niche, the ability to identify with Women in Leadership (being one myself) fueled the desire to narrow in on Women.
